She enjoys working alongside numerous clients fulfilling their art needs. She always includes an element of creativity, whether coordinating a battle of the bands, decorating cakes, or most recently, radio DJ and promotions coordinator. Throughout the years, she has painted a multitude of items, ranging from custom painted shoes for musicians, Xboxes for gamers, fine art to increase the beauty of someone’s living room, t-shirt designs for events and murals for both personal homes, community events and local businesses. Red Dirt Rosie was launched in 2019, and often Kortny paints under that alias. Red Dirt Rosie’s motto is, “leave it brighter than you found it.'' As a creative, Red Dirt Rosies’ ultimate goal is to encourage wonder and whimsy with visual art in all scales and sizes. Rosie utilizes glee and occasional madness to capture and keep the sweet moments/emotions that are tucked into our lives preserved. Rosie’s belief is life is just so much better when it's brighter and we look to find the wonder in every moment. Her art style comes from years of practice and the constant exploration to seek out who she really is. Red Dirt Rosie desires to impact those around her with a colorful new way of seeing the silver lining in everyday life. |
Artist's Statement
I work mainly in acrylic, latex and am excited to start utilizing spray cans for public art/mural projects. I have been drawing since age 10, and began painting at age 16.
