Our Mission
In 1966, a group of forward-thinking Ponca City artists formed the Ponca City Art Association, now known as the City Arts.
Our Mission: The City Arta is dedicated to enriching the cultural life in our community by promoting, teaching, and nourishing the creation and appreciation of the visual arts.
Our Vision: To be a community of individuals, businesses, volunteers, civic leaders and media who actively work: to provide financial resources, to raise awareness, and to advocate for achieving this mission.
Our Values: We value inclusiveness and diversity by including all artistry, abilities and talent, by welcoming and serving the diversity of our community, and by respecting the diversity of our world in our work.
We invest in the future of our community through our commitment to nurture creative and intellectual growth through excellent, innovative visual arts education.
We serve our community as we strive to meet arts education needs that are not being met by the private or public sectors.
We value our teacher resources by cherishing their contributions to the achievement of our mission and vision.

Terron LilesCity Arts Executive Director
The City Arts Executive Director is Terron Liles. Terron grew up on a small farm in southwest Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University majoring in communications. A life long lover of visual Arts, Terron enrolled in art classes in both high school and college, but soon realized his true talent lied in not being an artist, but being an arts advocate. Terron is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma, as well as the Ponca City Leadership programs. In 2019, Terron was honored by the State Main Street Program with the Main Street Hero Award, and was also named as an Achiever Under 40 in Oklahoma. Terron and his husband Paul reside in Ponca City with their two Labrador Retrievers, Barley and Olive. |
Hayley HarrisonAdmin Assistant / Lead Grant-Writer
Hayley Harrison is the Admin Assistant and lead Grant-Writer for the City Arts Organization. Hayley has lived in rural North-Central Oklahoma for most of her life, and resides there today with her husband J. Berry and their two daughters, Harper and Berry Beth. Hayley attended Northern Oklahoma College and Oklahoma State University, and this is where she initially discovered her love and deep appreciation for the visual arts. This long-standing love of the arts coupled with her complete admiration for the incredible local artists involved in the City Arts Organization fills both her life and career with immense joy. |
